Update: Kelowna emergency crews douse welding truck on fire

Crews were called to the scene just after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 3

Update: 10:05 a.m.

Kelowna fire crews have extinguished a welding truck that was on fire Glenmore Road and John Hindle Drive. 

It's not known what caused the fire.

Glenmore Road has been opened to single-lane alternating traffic.

The Kelowna Fire Department is dealing with a burning welding truck at Glenmore Road and John Hindle Drive.

Crews were called to the scene just after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday (June 3). 

Glenmore Road is shut down while firefighters deal with the blaze. Most of the fire has been knocked down, as was a small grass fire that sparked from the initial incident.
