More than 300 people laced up their sneakers to participate in the June 4, Kelowna Global Running Day event, which was beside the Apple Bowl stadium.

All ages and ability levels were invited to come out and run in the sun and enjoy the snacks afterwards.
The running store Play Kelowna, which hosts the weekly Play Run Club, organized the event alongside the Kelowna Running Club.
In total, 16 of Kelowna's running, fitness, and outdoors clubs and organizations were represented at the event. Several of the 300+ runners brought their pups to the event and there was fresh water and doggie biscuits ready for the four-legged friends.

Never Miss a Monday is a chill Monday evening run hosted by Barn Owl Brewing with a social hang afterwards.
On Tuesday, trail lovers meet at the base of Knox Mountain at 6 p.m. for a one hour run with the MoveMed Physio club.
Play Run Club leaves from the store on Wednesdays. The club is made up people who run in varying pace groups from racers to walkers. The club is active on Strava and route updates and special events will be posted there.
The November Project meets at the Sails statue in downtown Kelowna on Wednesday mornings for a workout.
NRG Kelowna holds boot-camp style run every Wednesday that is filled with music and exercises.
The Arc'Teryx trail run club meets on Thursday evenings for an all-abilities run at Knox Mountain. More information is available at the Arc'Teryx store, located in downtown Kelowna.
That Gay Run Club meets at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday at Rustic Reel for a pace-inclusive run and hang.
The Okanagan Trail Runners (OKTR) is made up of folks who love to race in the mountains. The group meets on Thursday evenings and runs at Knox Mountain. Weekly OKTR routes and communications are posted to Strava.
Run like Girlz meet on Friday evenings at the Sails statue in downtown Kelowna for a 5km walk or run.
The Kelowna Running Club holds runs on Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings as well as special events throughout the year.
Other groups like the Interior Running Association and the Varsity Outdoors Club Okanagan hold regular events around the city.
