Cottonwood Centre in Chilliwack is under new ownership.

Finix Holdings purchased the 51-year-old mall last month. The 22-acre property on Luckakuck way was sold by Vancouver-based owners PCI Developments, Northland Properties, and Nicola Wealth in April, according to two real-estate news outlets.

PCI Developments from Ontario-based Morguard purchased the centre in 2019, then called Cottonwood Mall. It is not clear when Northland Properties and Nicola Wealth came onboard.

Cottonwood Centre (45585 Luckakuck Way) was built in 1974, making it the city's first regional shopping centre.

Under the previous owners, new tenants including Save-On-Foods, Sephora, BC Liquor Store, Club 16 Fitness and Old Navy were added. Shoe store SoftMoc is opening soon at the mall.

Canadian Tire (45495 Luckakuck Way) opened on a 10.6-acre property beside Cottonwood Centre in 2022.

The Chilliwack Progress has reached out to Finix Holdings for more information.
