Hello and a very Happy New 2011Year to all our fellow North Thompson Valley residents. It has now been 4 1/2 months since that exciting night we were officially crowned as the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo (NTFFR) royalty and we would love to share our experiences thus far.

Thursday, Jan. 17, is Family Literacy Day. This year’s theme is Play for Literacy, and includes all types of play that promote reading, spelling and numeracy. There are many activities your family can do together to encourage new learning opportunities, or sharpen existing skills. Some of these activities are playing a board game or a card game, following a recipe, reading a map, or a physical game that promotes brain development such as a scavenger hunt or “Simon Says.

Looking for an interesting volunteer experience? Do you speak Spanish or are you willing to learn? Would you like to spend several months in Central America?

It is hard to believe that the Raft River Rockhounds Club only started one year ago.

Hello, North Thompson Valley residents. It’s that time of year again as we go into the fifth annual Arts, Health and Wellness Expo. Wow five years, and going strong.
