‘Rakau the Wood Wizard’

The North Thompson Communities Foundation was out and about in the valley over the weekend celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the foundation.

New bays at both halls will house structure protection units and equipment

During the recent regular meeting of the Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) board of directors and the public, Trans Mountain Community Liaisons, Leah Caldow and Kent Taylor delivered a progress update on August 17, 2023.

Everywhere you go in this valley, The North Thompson Valley, it’s there. Following, lingering, soaring, reaching, teaching, working, singing, playing, organizing, coordinating, sweating, cleaning, cooking, supporting, photographing, planting, painting, fighting through the flames and smoke. It’s undeniable! This valley thrives and strives thanks to the vibrant community spirit bubbling, bouncing, and electrifying hearts into action time and time again!

The Thompson Nicola Regional District board of Directors and invited guest from the City of Kamloops and Mayors Blackwell and Stamer from Clearwater and Barriere, took their annual educational tour of the North Thompson on August 16 and 17.

Proceeds from the work’s sales set to go to the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation
