Clearwater residents enjoyed a wide array of foods from a variety of countries during Culture Days at the Multicultural Food Day event on Oct. 4 at Dutch Lake Community Centre, sponsored by Yellowhead Community Services and the District of Clearwater.
Kawiria Creed is the recreation, culture and events assistant and coordinator of the event, describing it as “being able to travel the world without a passport."
"It was great to see dishes such as sushi from Japan, borscht from Poland, Indigenous First Nations bannock, Indian snacks, and veggie curry from Trinidad being served and sampled," she said. "Members of the community volunteered to share important aspects of their cultural backgrounds.”
Also included in the late afternoon, early evening event were musical games and activities for families and kids.
