A local employee, Darren Stewart, with Wells Gray Home Hardware was acknowledged for his 10 years of "great customer service" on Saturday by store owner Lorne Selbee and fellow staff as well as many community members who dropped by the store to see him.
"Darren joined us 10 years ago for a temporary fill-in position," Selbee told Black Press on Sunday March 30. "We didn't know then how well he would stick. He didn't take shortcuts. He rose up by working every position we had and eventually became our right hand. He is the smiling face you remember, the guy who helps when you need it, and the kind of person you can rely on. Thank you, Darren. we can't wait to see what the future holds for us all."
