Prince George RCMP made a major drug bust, seizing weapons, cigarettes and large amounts of drugs in the 1300 block of Eaglet Crescent in Prince George May 19. Officers executed a search warrant on a residence leading to seizures.
"Police officers seized a large quantity of drugs from inside the residence, as well as Canadian and American currency, multiple cartons of contraband cigarettes and some weapons," said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media relations officer for the Prince George RCMP in a news release.
Items seized from the residence included:
- 50 cartons of contraband cigarettes
- Approximately 500 grams of suspected Methamphetamine
- Approximately 500 grams of suspected Cocaine
- Over 40 grams of suspected Fentanyl
- More than 20 grams of suspected Ketamine
- Approximately 20 grams of suspected Psilocybin
- Over 100 grams of suspected pharmaceuticals
- Over $2700 Canadian currency
- Just over $300 American currency
One person was arrested at the time the warrant was executed, but he was released later that day. Any potential charges related to the drugs seized are pending analysis and must be approved by the prosecution service, the release states. The man who arrested is known to police, it adds.
The RCMP says the investigation is ongoing.
