Women's and girls' lacrosse provincials on now in Nanaimo

Frank Crane Arena will host gold medal games on July 12-13

B.C.'s best women's and girls' lacrosse teams are gathering in Nanaimo for the next few days to try to end their season with a championship.

The B.C. Lacrosse Association U22 junior women's championship, along with the U17, U15 and U13 girls' championships, are being contested at Frank Crane Arena and the Nanaimo Ice Centre, with Chemainus rink Fuller Lake Arena also hosting a few round-robin games.

Action started the morning of Thursday, July 10, and playoff rounds happen Saturday and Sunday, July 12-13.

All finals will be at Frank Crane Arena. The U17 girls' B.C. finals will happen first on Saturday, July 12, with the U17B final at 2:45 p.m. and then the U17A final at 4:15 p.m. The junior women's gold-medal game will then be played at 5:45 p.m.

On Sunday, July 12, the U13B final will be bright and early at 8 a.m., followed by the U13A final at 10 a.m. and the U15B final at noon. The U15A tournament is being played in Coquitlam as there are no Vancouver Island teams in that tier.
