Power outage affects over 15,000 people in Newton and North Delta

BC Hydro said the area's power has been off since around 2:45 p.m. due to an "object on our wires."

BC Hydro is reporting that 15,095 of its customers in Newton and North Delta are without power Friday afternoon (May 23). 

BC Hydro said the power has been off since around 2:45 p.m. due to an "object on our wires. " Crews are on their way to the scene and are expected to arrive around 4 p.m. 

The areas without power are, North of 57TH AVE, West of UPLAND RD, East of 125A ST, South of 76TH AVE, East of KITTSON PKY, West of 127A ST, North of HILLSIDE RD, South of 121A ST, West of 126TH ST, East of HWY 91 , South of 80 AVE, North of REDWOOD PL and East of 119A ST, North of 66TH AVE, West of 128TH ST, South of 81ST AVE.
