Update: No one injured in RV fire near Silver Creek Elementary School

Fire took place on School Road

Update: 12:16 p.m.

It was an eventful Thursday morning (June 5) for the Silver Creek neighbourhood after a RV trailer caught on fire near the Silver Creek Elementary School.

Eight Hope firefighters were on scene, just after 7:30 a.m., to find a trailer and its extension completely in flames on School Road. According to the Hope Fire Department, the fire resulted in the "candling of nearby trees." 

No injuries were reported and the fire was contained and put out by 9 a.m. 

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and being investigated by Hope RCMP.

Hope firefighters were on scene at around 8 a.m. to contain and put out the fire on a residential property on School Road. 

Details about the fire, including its cause and whether anyone was injured, is currently unknown.
