Single-lane traffic is in effect on a Penticton street as crews begin to repair a water main break.
The 1400 block of Penticton Avenue closed in both directions on June 4, due to the break.
Crews began to repair the water main near 1458 Penticton Avenue on Thursday morning (June 5) and work is expected to continue "at least until the end of the week," according to the city.
There will be an uninterrupted supply of quality drinking water during the repair as Penticton has the capability to provide treated water from two source locations.
"Anyone driving through the area should allow extra time and anticipate single-lane alternating traffic," the city said in a press release.
