Barring unforeseen rock slides, the Bruhn Bridge will not have any daytime closures throughout the summer.
According to the project's government website page, the current weekday bridge closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. will stop from June 15 to Sept. 15, with the bridge fully open from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
At that time, however, there will be short evening closures from 7:30 to 9 p.m., followed by single-lane alternating traffic from 9 p.m. to midnight on weekdays and Saturdays. The bridge will remain fully open throughout the day on Sundays, as always.
Unforeseen circumstances aside, the bridge will remain open during the day, but drivers are still advised to check the ministry website on R.W. Bruhn Bridge and Approaches for the three-week look ahead work schedules that could see other changes. The most current highway information is also available on DriveBC.
