The West Shore RCMP arrested two suspects yesterday in relation to "indecent acts" in Colwood and Langford.
Police were called to the area of Jacklin and Dunford roads in Langford around 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, after a man allegedly committed an indecent act aboard a BC Transit bus. The 38-year-old exited the bus and was arrested in relation to the act, along with uttering threats against a passenger and failing to comply with conditions of a probation order.
Later, at about 3:40 p.m., RCMP responded to another, unrelated, report that an indecent act had allegedly taken place in a parking lot near the 1700 block of Island Highway in Colwood. A 67-year-old man was arrested and released on an undertaking with an upcoming court date.
"The complainants reported these incidents to police immediately, allowing our officers to act quickly and locate the suspects. We continue to encourage members of the public to report suspicious activity to police right away," said Cpl. Nancy Saggar, West Shore RCMP media relations officer, in a news release.
Those two investigations followed a third report on an "indecent act" that was alleged to have taken place on the Galloping Goose trail near Happy Valley Road and Lomalinda Drive last week on May 11. Police are still investigating that report and are seeking anyone with information to report it by calling West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
