A circus with performers from across Europe will be in Chilliwack for four days of entertainment.
The Europa Super Circus is at the Chilliwack Coliseum from May 15 to 18, as part of their inaugural Canadian tour.
According to the group, this tour involves an all-new production with award-winning performers from all across Europe.
Hailing from Portugal, Angelo Chaves is a fourth-generation clown who has performed with some of the biggest circuses in the world. Erica Cardinali is an aerial artist who also incorporates unique hula hoop and roller skate tricks to entertain audiences. Also going airborne will be Disa Carneol, who demonstrates her trapeze skills in a series of quick and daring performances.
This circus also includes world record-holder Jose Armando Ponce Ramos, who spits in the face of gravity during his Wheel of Death routine.
Managing and headlining the show are longtime circus performers Desire Cardinali Chaves and Geoffrey Berhault. Cardinali Chaves comes from seven generations of circus performers and brings to the show a mix of contortionist and aerial performances. Berhault is also a generational circus talent, and does his tight-wire routine on a cable that is the same thickness as a pen.
"Putting a modern twist on the beloved classic circus, Europa Super Circus offers an unforgettable evening of thrilling performances, mesmerizing lights, and whimsical delights," said the group.
The Europa Super Circus will be performing under the big top at the Chilliwack Coliseum (45323 Hodgins Ave.) from May 15 to 18. For a full schedule and tickets, visit supercircus.com.
