Executive director for the North Thompson Aboriginal Cultural Centre Society visits schools for Remembrance Day

Dear Editor:

I attended both services at Raft River Elementary School and CSS on Friday, November 8th. It's always nice to hear from children and youth in our valley.

I was very impressed and so very happy that both of the schools acknowledged not only First Nations but all Indigenous people that served. Both schools did an amazing job at recognizing our Indigenous people and the day.

I left feeling hopeful, uplifted and filled with gratitude for living in such a beautiful community and giving thanks to the Creator for so many of our Indigenous and non Indigenous veterans and first responders that continue to serve today.

I want to thank the principals, teachers, and parents for educating our youth. All students in both schools were very respectful and you make us all feel so proud.

With thanks,

Cindy Wilgosh, executive director for the North Thompson Aboriginal Cultural Centre Society
