What’s Her Name and the Other Guys will be providing the music for the Little Fort St. Patrick’s Family Dance on Saturday, March 19. This will be a reunion of sorts for the popular North Thompson community dance band, which has a reputation for great dance music and group vocals, and for having a lot of fun getting people involved with their performances.
Original members Sam Willan, Denis Chaykowski and Loyd Bishop had performed throughout the Okanagan and North Thompson area for over two decades at local pubs, community dances, and had also generously donated music and support to community non-profit groups’ efforts during this time.
Over recent years the band members have moved in and out of the music scene, sometimes leaving a group member to either get a new “Other Guy” or “What’s Her Name.” In this case Lynn Shook will be performing with the band for the March 19 dance. Denis, Lynn and Loyd have played together at many smaller events, and are all excited and ready to perform.
Tickets are available at the Little Fort Community Hall from 7 p.m. Adults $10 per person, students $5 and 10 years old and under free. The dance starts 7:30 p.m. Monies raised go in support of the Little Fort Community Dance Committee and the Volunteer Fire Dept.
