The West Kootenay Multi 4-H Club is celebrating a remarkable run of success as two of its young members, Scarlett and Tullina, excelled in this year’s public speaking competitions, advancing from club level all the way to the regional stage.
During the club-level competition held last month, Scarlett took first place and Tullina secured second, earning both speakers the opportunity to represent the club at the district competition on April 13.
At districts, the competition intensified, but the West Kootenay duo rose to the occasion. Tullina impressed the judges and claimed second place, while Scarlett followed closely with a commendable fourth place finish.
Thanks to her strong performance, Tullina advanced to the regional competition in Kamloops, held on April 26, where she delivered an exceptional speech that earned her the top spot – first place in the region.
This is an incredible achievement for both girls. Their hard work, confidence, and passion for public speaking reflect the spirit of 4-H and the strength of youth in our community.
The West Kootenay 4-H Multi Club extends its heartfelt congratulations to Scarlett and Tullina for their dedication and outstanding accomplishments. The entire region is proud to celebrate their success.
