Queer painter, performer, teacher, and resident artist at Studio on Water, Shannon Lester, will be featured during a special reception on Saturday, June 14.
Lester's collection Queer Creatures will be on display at Studio on Water in celebration of Pride Month.
A reception is being held from 6-8 p.m. with an opportunity to meet the artist and explore the art.
“I am so thrilled to be featured at such a beautiful location in the heart of Kelowna's cultural district,” said Lester. “Please come celebrate with me!”
Lester's art, primarily acrylic on canvas, blends the mystical and magical with his own spiritual journey.
The reception is free and open to everyone. Sparkling beverages will be provided and guests can enjoy live music by contemporary cellist Michael Averill.
