At Barriere Elementary School recently, Mrs Jennifer Kerslake’s, student teacher Miss Dana Rorison, and Mrs. Lynne McGravey’s Grade 3 classes strapped on their skis and enjoyed the new layer of snow that blanketed the North Thompson.
The Grade 3 ski program was awarded $500 in grant money from the North Thompson Communities Foundation, therefore allowing this program to continue again this year. The grant money was used to purchase more skis, which were greatly needed and appreciated.
The class is training for the upcoming ski race in Blue River, Feb. 24, hosted by Blue River School and Mike Wiegele’s. Many thanks again to the North Thompson Communities Foundation for its support of our program.
