Maple Bay elite mountain biker Jennifer Jackson won three golds at the Pan American Championships in Costa Rica in late April.

Continuing with her early season success, Maple Bay elite mountain biker Jennifer Jackson won the Pan American Championships late last month in Finca La Lucha, Costa Rica.

Jackson placed first in both the XCC (cross-country short-circuit) and XCO (cross-country Olympic) events on April 26.

On April 26, Jackson's XCO time of 1:27:45 beat out American runner-up Kate Courtney and fellow Canadian Emily Johnstone, who placed third. She finished more than one full minute ahead of her American competitor.

Later that same day Jackson bested the same two women, though finishing just four seconds ahead of Courtney, to take XXC gold with a time of 18:40.

Before winning her individual races, Jackson helped Team Canada to first place in the mixed elite cross-country team relay (XCR).

Jackson has already surpassed her entire 2024 world cup series points total after just a handful of events and was ranked No. 11 in the world headed into the next XCC/XCO stage of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Series May 23-25 at Nové Město Na Moravě in the Czech Republic.
