May 9, 1934 - March 31, 2025

We are sad to announce the passing of Murray Byron Stockton on the 31st of March 2025 after a short illness. Murray is survived by his son Ken Stockton (Erika Locken), his daughter Kim Strickland (Philip Strickland) and his only grandchild Liam Stockton.

Murray was born in Harriston Ontario on the 9th of May 1934. He had two siblings, a brother Hugh Robert, and a sister Margaret. Both of Murray's parents and sibling predeceased him, along with his loving wife of nearly 50 years Jeannette.

Murray came to British Columbia in his early twenties after a short time of working on the railroad. He worked for BC Tel (now Telus) for the majority of his working life as a installer and repairman. His work began in Terrace BC, then on to 100 Mile House, Kamloops, Black Pines and finally the Clearwater Valley.

Murray loved travelling up and down the valley with his work. He was always happy to stop for coffee and a cookie or two.

Murray loved fishing, camping, reading, spending time with his family. Most of all Murray loved Jesus and his church. His faith brought him such comfort in his last days.

A short memorial service will be held at the Clearwater Christian Church at 1010 School Road on May 6th at 1:30. Refreshments and cookies to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or Clearwater Christian Church
