The Clearwater Fire Department (CFD) members deployed to the Wells Gray Community Forest area on Wed. July following multiple lightning strikes in the area. The CFD was hired by BC Wildfire Service to action the fires started by those strikes immediately to mitigate further risk to valuable forest and wildlife.
