Williams Lake RCMP provided an update on on calls they responded to between June 19 to 26, with officers receiving 272 calls.

Police highlighted some of the work they carried out with respect to those calls.

On June 19, a few arrests were made throughout the day of people with outstanding warrants. One individual was arrested for theft from a local business and later released with a no-go condition to the business. A wallet was also found and one of the cards inside was reportedly used fraudulently, according to police. They arrested a suspect and said they were able to return the wallet to its owner.

On June 20, the Cariboo-Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit and Williams Lake police executed a search warrant at a residence police believed may be involved in illicit drug activity. One individual was arrested and held in custody. The same day, a man was arrested who was believed to be intoxicated in public in Boitanio Park, three impaired drivers were removed from the road and issued 90-day roadside driving prohibitions. Another man was arrested by police on an unendorsed warrant then held for court. An endorsed warrant means police can release the suspect for a new court date, while an unendorsed warrant means police must hold the person until they can appear before a Justice of the Peace.

On June 21, police said a man was intoxicated and punching street signs in a parking lot. Police said they arrested the man and lodged him in cells. A man was also arrested the same day for reportedly breaching his release conditions. A vehicle was broken into and a wallet was stolen on the same day as well, with police reminding the public not to leave valuables in their vehicles.

On June 22, a vehicle was reportedly stolen overnight but then spotted by police and recovered the same day. One suspect was located inside the business the vehicle was parked at, arrested and held for court. A female was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and brought to the hospital for assessment, according to police. Police also attended the hospital to "de-escalate" a situation while he was receiving medical treatment.

June 23 saw police attend a scene where a female was reportedly causing a disturbance. Police said the situation was de-escalated and the person was no longer a disturbance. Another disturbance on June 23 at the hospital resulted in police attending. They said the man was given the care he needed and RCMP were no longer needed. Police also attended a workplace incident in which a person was injured. However, police said they found no impairment or criminality involved. A domestic violence report resulted in police attendance on June 23 as well. Police said their investigation resulted in an arrest.

June 24 saw Williams Lake RCMP attend to assist in the disposal of explosives at a rural residence. While police were able to determine the explosives belonged to a miner with the required blasting certifications, the RCMP explosive disposal unit attended and disposed of the explosives in a safe manner. The same day, police responded to a report of a bear inside a residence. Upon attending, police did not locate the bear and deemed the home clear.

The same day, a man was reported to be a danger to himself and others. Police reportedly attended and apprehended the man, escorting him to the hospital for care. Firearms were also seized from the residence. Another woman was also apprehended under the Mental Health Act the same day in a separate incident, due to erratic behaviour which was reportedly a danger to herself and others.

On June 25,  a missing female was reported, but RCMP said she was located without incident. Another report of a man with a firearm resulted in attendance by police. They report identifying the individual and said no firearm was found. A female was arrested the same day for allegedly causing a disturbance. She was lodged in cells until she was safe to care for herself. The same day, a man was also arrested for the same alleged issue and also lodged in cells temporarily. Another male driver was given a three-day driving prohibition due to alleged impairment.

June 26, five separate individuals were arrested on endorsed or unendorsed warrants. Another male was given a 90-day driving prohibition due to impairment. The same day, another man was reportedly causing a disturbance, resulting in his arrest, and he was kept in cells until police deemed it safe to release him. Police also responded to a robbery in progress the same day. Upon attending the scene, police believed the report was inaccurate and upon investigation said they instead arrested an individual for causing a disturbance.
