Clearwater Hosers Senior Hockey Club hails a new era prime for Senior Hockey tradition in Clearwater and the North Thompson Valley – this year the Clearwater Hosers Senior Hockey Team grew and transitioned to become a great venue for an exciting season filled with fresh changes, a reinvigorated spirit, and a renewed sense of fun. With a new team constitution, committed executive committee, and plenty of on-ice action, the Hosers are proving they’re “Still in the Game.”
We are growing a strong foundation with a new constitution and leadership this season, the Hosers have adopted a new team constitution aimed at fostering teamwork, accountability, and long-term success. The constitution formalizes key principles of sportsmanship and ensures clear communication between players, the executive, and the local community. To guide the team, a new executive committee has been formed. President Randy Hedlund leads the charge, with vice president Sylvain Menard, treasurer Gordon Gibson, and secretary John Jaillet, team manager, Wade Elliot, and members-at-large, John Renaud and Paul Schon rounding out the leadership team. Their dedication to the team and community is inspiring and expected to keep the Hosers on a steady path forward for a long time to come.
On the ice: Games twice a week fans will have plenty of chances to cheer on the Hosers, with games scheduled twice a week at the Clearwater Sportsplex on Mondays and Fridays. The team has been hard at work in scrimmage games, building their chemistry and preparing to take on rivals from across the region.
A special highlight of this year’s schedule will be the eagerly anticipated ‘Home and Home’ series against the 100 Mile House team. These games will bring a competitive edge and plenty of excitement for players and fans alike. The first match was held in Clearwater, with the rematch taking place at 100 Mile House against The 100 Mile House Ice Agers on January 31.
A new fresh look: This season marks a fresh chapter in the Hosers’ legacy with brand-new uniforms and an updated team logo, (coming soon). The sleek new design captures the rugged, hardworking spirit of the team while incorporating modern esthetics. The vibrant jerseys will showcase the team’s identity on the ice, with their community proudly behind them.
The motto that says it all. At the heart of this season is the Hosers’ new motto: ‘Still in the Game.’ It’s more than just a tagline—it’s a declaration of resilience, commitment, and passion for the sport. Whether it’s long-time veterans or fresh faces on the roster, the motto reflects the determination of the team to continue representing Clearwater with pride.
