Good news for residents connected to the Star Place water system north of Peachland — the precautionary water quality advisory that’s been in place since April 9 has been lifted.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) has confirmed, in consultation with Interior Health, that water quality has returned to safe and acceptable levels. Turbidity, or cloudiness, in the water source is now well within Canadian drinking water guidelines.
The Star Place system is one of six operated by the RDCO, and is located in the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area.
For more details, residents can visit the RDCO’s water system webpage, email engineering services at engineer@rdco.com, or call 250-469-6241. Customers can also sign up for email alerts about future water quality advisories on the RDCO website.
