The Vernon Aquatics Centre will be closed from Aug. 26 to Sept. 15 for maintenance.
The annual shutdown provides the opportunity to do preventative maintenance and repairs to systems that cannot be serviced while the facility is open to the public, the city said in a release.
The work will include tile repairs and pool filter maintenance, among other projects.
The Recreation Centre office will remain open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Residents are reminded that the fall and winter Active Living Guide is available for viewing on the Vernon Recreation website at gvrec.ca. Fall registration opens for Vernon, Coldstream and Areas B and C on Monday, Aug. 26 at 7:30 a.m. Registration for all areas opens Friday, Sept. 6 at 7:30 a.m.
