Highway 19 was temporarily closed in both directions after a motor vehicle crash between Church Road and the Parksville exit early June 16.
BC EHS was paged out at 12:30 a.m. to the incident near the Parksville Bypass and Englishman River No. 2 Bridge, according to Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites.
"An ambulance with primary care paramedics responded to the scene. Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to two patients who were transported to hospital in stable condition,” Twaites told the PQB News.
The northbound lane reopened at approximately 2:20 a.m. and an assessment is in progress, according to DriveBC.
The right lane of southbound traffic was cleared at approximately 1:15 p.m., according to DriveBC.
BC Hydro reported a power outage to 1,856 customers due to a motor vehicle accident at 12:23 a.m., with the power restored as of noon.
