The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #259 in Clearwater
The Royal Canadian Legion is a non-profit organization that serves Canadian war veterans, and supports their local communities.
They are best known for selling by-donation poppies each passing year, and organizing Remembrance Day ceremonies across the country to honour those who have served.
The Legion is Canada’s largest Veteran support and community service organization.
With 260,000 members in 1,350 branches, the Legion’s goal is to continue to improve the lives of veterans. They also serve the Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP, along with their families.
The objective has consistently remained to support men and women who serve this country and strive to make a difference.

Clearwater and District Food Bank
The Clearwater District, Food Bank vision is neighbours helping neighbours to reduce hunger in the north Thompson Valley,we service clients from Round top to Blue River.
Our mission is: “Sharing food feeding hope to strengthen our community”
This great 100 percent volunteer group receives food, sorts food, and distributes into hampers every week. The Food Bank works Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday to receive food, receiving,sorting and packing and cleaning.
Open to the public Thursday 9:00 a.m. till noon, we are doing approximately 188 to 197 hampers a month.
Clients come into the Food Bank once a month and receive enough food to last them five to seven days.
We are very fortunate to be supported by the community of Clearwater with garden donations and monitory donations.we-also receive funds from Food Banks BC and groups in the community that support us which we are forever grateful. Cram the Cruiser, Cruisin Clearwater, with multiple community groups doing food drives for us.We are also this year fortunate to have assistance from Bosely’s and Home Hardware and the SPCA to help our pets.
Our Volunteer Board: Margo Venema-Chair Person, Norm Haring-Vice Chair, David Whelen-Secretary,Pearl Mcloney-Operations Manager, Linda Selbee-Treasurer,Tracey Fox Simpson- Director, Isabelle Hadford-Director.
We have 10 volunteers weekly and we work with five Clearwater Rotary members for food deliveries twice a week from the Food Mesh Program.

Clearwater Humane Society
The Clearwater Humane Society is a dedicated organization committed to the welfare and protection of animals in the Clearwater community.
