A water quality advisory has been issued for residents of Vernon's Canary Place.
The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) has advised customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water on Canary Place that the precautionary advisory will be in place until Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 5 p.m.
A break in the water main resulted in a loss of water pressure, and as a result, has led to increased turbidity.
Crews are currently onsite repairing the break, but properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure and discoloration.
Running a cold water tap until the water has cleared is advised. Some customers may wish to boil their water for at least one minute, but it is not required.
