An assault in a downtown Kelowna alleyway is being investigated by the RCMP.
On Monday, June 16, officers responded to a report of an alleged assault in the alleyway between Ellis and St. Paul streets. According to the RCMP, a 42-year-old woman was on her lunch break when she was assaulted by an unknown person sometime between 1 and 1:25 p.m.
Mounties are now asking for the public's assistance, requesting for any witnesses or anyone with surveillance footage from the surrounding area to step forward. The area includes the 1440 block of St. Paul St. and the 1400 block of Ellis St, bordered by Bernard and Doyle avenues, including the back alleyways.
“We are urging anyone who may have seen this incident or captured any relevant video footage—whether from dash cams, security cameras, or personal devices to come forward,” said Cpl. Allison Konsmo, Kelowna RCMP media relations officer in a press release. “If you have information or footage and have not yet spoken with police, please contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference file number 2025-33922.”
