A section of Kelowna's Lakeshore Road was closed for about an hour on Saturday, May 31.
RCMP shut down the road to vehicle traffic, between Richter Street and Lanfranco Road, before reopening the section just after 4 p.m. It remained open to pedestrians.
According to a construction worker who was on scene during the closure, police shut down the road due to high winds causing items to fall off a high-rise building at 3340 Lakeshore Rd. and onto the street.
The construction site is down for the day and items are secured.
