It was a good watery day in the North Okanagan Monday, June 3.

First, there was rain. Much needed.

Second, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO), in conjunction with Interior Health, advises the Precautionary Boil Water Notice issued on May 17 to customers supplied by the Grindrod Water Utility has been rescinded.

“All bacterial testing results and disinfection levels are within normal drinking water standards in the distribution system,” said the Regional District of North Okanagan in a release Monday afternoon.

Users were originally placed under an Essential Use Only notice due to a blocked water intake in the Shuswap River. That notice was ended on May 28, but the boil water notice remained in place.
