Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club opened both of its golf courses Friday, March 7, 2025.

It's starting to look like spring in the North Okanagan and with people looking to spend time outdoors, local golf courses are kicking off their season.

Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club opened both its championship and executive courses to the public Friday, March 7. The golf course is typically the first to open in the North Okanagan.

Last year's early spring also led to an early golf season in the valley. However, this year's opening day at Spallumcheen is even earlier than last year, when the golf course opened on March 13.

Spallumcheen's driving range is also open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Meanwhile, Hillview Golf Course opened its driving range today, March 8.

Vernon Golf and Country Club's planned open date is March 18, and Predator Ridge is aiming to open its courses on April 9, weather dependent.

The Rise Resort is typically the last golf course in Vernon to open, given its elevation. Tee times are already available for opening weekend, which is slated for April 11.
