Fun Breakfast with Santa hosted by legion members and first responders

Annual Breakfast with Santa in Clearwater attracted over 150 people, including children anxious to share their wish lists

Clearwater's annual Breakfast with Santa was once again a huge hit, with approximately 150 people — including families with many children in the North Thompson — taking part on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the event hosted by area firefighters, emergency services team members and Royal Canadian Legion #259 members in the Legion hall.

Santa's presence brought laughter, smiles and some interesting wishes from the kids as they chatted with him about Christmas.

Pancakes, scrambled eggs and ham were on the menu, and volunteers manned the kitchen and served up the scrumptious breakfast, which one young guest described as "Yummy!" Santa himself chuckled merrily and said, “Ho Ho Ho, the food was delicious and the most fun of all is always the happy, smiling faces of the children!”

Blackpool and Little Fort Fire chief Mike Savage said “The kids seemed to enjoy their visit with Santa, and we made sure they left with a goodie bag and an orange after they had their time with him. We also provided Fire Prevention materials and colouring books for everyone. We certainly want to thank everyone that came out and supported the local food bank during this event!”
