RCMP, paramedics and firefighters were called to a two-vehicle crash in downtown Vernon Friday morning.
The incident took place at the intersection of 30th Street and 32nd Avenue, in front of the ServiceBC office.
BC Emergency Health Services received a call about the crash just after 10 a.m. An ambulance with primary care paramedics went to the scene. One person was given emergency medical treatment and transported to hospital in stable condition, said paramedic public information officer Brian Twaites.
The RCMP investigated the crash and determined a Hyundai Accent was travelling north on 30th Street when it ran a red light and struck a pickup truck in the intersection, said Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer.
