The City of Castlegar has issued a public notice that it intends to sell a portion of land near the West Kootenay Regional Airport.
The 1.9-hectare lot is located at 209 Orchard Ave., near the new Kalesnikoff Mass Timber facility and the FedEx Ground Terminal.
The notice says the buyer intends to use the property for storage and retail.
The property will be subject to a three-year lease-to-purchase agreement with Ootischenia Land Developments Ltd.
Under the agreement, the buyer will pay $20,000 per month in rent which will be applied to the purchase price of $1.05 million.
