Kelowna earned an unfortunate distinction in 2024, with eight of the top 10 crash-prone intersections in B.C.’s Southern Interior, according to new data from ICBC.

Leading the list is the intersection of Dilworth Drive and Harvey Avenue, which recorded 129 crashes—the highest in the region. Close behind is Banks Road and Harvey Avenue with 95 collisions, followed by Spall Road and Harvey Avenue with 83 crashes.

In fact, Kelowna occupies the top seven spots on the list, as well as the 10th position. The only other city to appear in the top 10 is Kamloops, which claims the remaining two spots.
