Five classic-rock tribute bands will be coming to Chilliwack this year, and the first one will kick off with hits from Pink Floyd.
Lunatics On The Grass, a Pink Floyd tribute band, will be at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on March 7. The event is presented by Port Moody JamZ, which will also bring four more tributes to Chilliwack this year: Steelin' In The Years (Steely Dan) on March 28; Highway Star (Deep Purple) on Sept. 13; Feelin' Alright (Joe Cocker) on Oct. 3; and See Alice (Alice Cooper) on Oct. 31.
"These bands all consist of senior professional musicians who are dedicated to honouring the music of the artist that they emulate," said Bruce Sancan with Port Moody JamZ.
Lunatics On The Grass is a nine-member group of veteran musicians which began in 2019, performing the music of one of modern culture’s most phenomenal classic rock bands. Drawing from the immense Pink Floyd catalogue and the brilliant solo projects of David Gilmour and Roger Waters, this tribute band brings a tour de force to the stage. The Lunatics have added visually stunning animated graphics, and a light show display to create a symphonic psychedelic scene.
On March 28, 11-piece band Steelin’ In The Years will be in town to bring interpretations of the many recognizable hits of Steely Dan to the stage. The band continues to refine their song list of the greatest hits and obscure tracks by one of the world’s finest musical groups from the classic rock era. Sell-out shows are testimony to the band’s virtuosity and continuous fan appreciation for the music.
The September show with band Highway Star will open with Chilliwack band Sanctuary X.

- Highway Star (Deep Purple) on Sept. 13 at Corky's Irish Pub at 8 p.m. This is a 19+ show. Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
- Feelin' Alright (Joe Cocker) at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets $45.
- See Alice (Alice Cooper) at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on Oct. 31 at 7 p.m.
