Aaron Goodvin to perform at 153rd annual Chilliwack Fair

Award-winning country music singer-songwriter will cap off first night of historic fair

Aaron Goodvin will perform on the first night of the 153rd annual Chilliwack Fair on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025.

The Chilliwack Fair will be shining the spotlight on Aaron Goodvin, a double-platinum selling artist, at the city's longest-running event this summer.

The Canadian-American country music singer-songwriter will take the stage on the evening of Friday, Aug. 8, capping off the first night of the 153rd annual Chilliwack Fair.

Born in Alberta, Goodvin is based out of Tennessee.

"His infectious energy and undeniable talent quickly caught the attention of fans and industry insiders alike," according to his bio.

Goodvin was named Songwriter of the Year with the Canadian Country Music Association awards in 2018.

He has picked up more than a dozen award nominations with the CCMA, plus he was nominated for a Juno Award for Country Album of the Year for his album 'V' in 2020.

"With two number-ones and six Top 10s, including the double-platinum international hit Lonely Drum, Goodvin has proven time and time again that he has what it takes to make a lasting impression in the world of country music. His ability to craft honest, relatable songs that resonate with audiences of all ages has earned him a dedicated following and widespread acclaim that was evidenced by the success of his third collection, EP Lucky Stars."

In addition to his success as a recording artist, Goodvin is also a sought-after songwriter, penning hits for some of the biggest names in country music including Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, and Cole Swindell. 

"His keen ear for melody and gift for storytelling, have led to collaborations with industry heavyweights, further cementing his reputation as a prolific and versatile songwriter."

His new single Drinkin’ Hand is available for streaming/download on May 23. The song, which chronicles his path to sobriety, is the title track of his upcoming EP, scheduled for release June 20.

Goodvin will take the Chilliwack Fair stage after Friday night's rodeo at approximately 9 p.m. The show is included with gate admission to the fair.

The Chilliwack Fair runs Friday, Aug. 8 to Sunday, Aug. 10 at Chilliwack Heritage Park.
