Rodeo Rednecks 4-H Club thanks community for support

“New members are always welcome!” says Dani Noble, leader of the Rodeo Rednecks 4-H Club

“New members are always welcome!” says Dani Noble, leader of the Rodeo Rednecks 4-H Club.

The club meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Wells Gray Inn, says Noble,

She adds, “Our members will be involved in many activities throughout the year such as animal judging days in Barriere and Kamloops, riding lessons from Ed Noble, horse shows throughout the Interior including Provincial Winter Fair being held in Barriere come September, trail rides, overnight camp outs, clinics, first aid and safety for both horse and rider and many more fundraisers throughout the community.”

Many individuals and organizations have helped the club’s activities, she reports.

The Mormon Church provided chairs and tables, and Star Lake Enterprises provided the use the its building for the Rodeo Rednecks’ awards night in December.

Clearwater Baptist Church provided the venue and Tim Paquette, Ashton Phillips and Merlin Blackwell acted as judges for the club’s speech night in February.

As a follow-up on the photos from the club’s speech night in last week’s issue of the Times, Noble reports that top senior Cherie Witts and top juniors Jessica Rotzetter and Kaylee Hudema attended District Speeches in Kamloops on Feb 26.

The 4-H club members appreciate Wells Gray Inn owners Jeff and Bonnie Ruttan for providing space for their monthly meetings, says Noble.

“And most of all, thank you to the community for supporting our bottle drives and club fundraisers,” she says.
