This summer, the Gold Fever Follies return to the Miners Hall stage in Rossland with a brand new production: Yours Truly — a lively musical comedy that blends romance, mystery, and a dash of historical mischief.
Set during the city’s booming gold rush days of the late 1800s, Yours Truly takes inspiration from true events surrounding the rise of matrimonial ads in newspapers.
The story follows Nellie Lake, an English woman who crosses the Atlantic to marry a man she knows only through letters.
But when she arrives in Rossland, her would-be fiancé is nowhere to be found.
What follows is a humorous and heartwarming tale of secrets, sleuthing, and second chances, complete with original music, cancan dancing, and a cast of quirky frontier characters.
The 2025 production was written by Acacia Roshel with adaptations by Lucas Myers.
As always, the Gold Fever Follies aim to entertain audiences of all ages with a fresh family-friendly musical packed with local flavour and historical flair.
The show runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.
Performances run Tuesdays through Saturdays during July and August, in the Rossland Miners Hall.
Showtimes are 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The Gold Fever Follies have been a Rossland summer tradition since 1987, bringing to life the colourful stories of the city's past with humour and high-kicking energy.
