Police seek assistance in locating missing Surrey man

Police in Surrey are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 62-year-old man. 

Lyle Bergman was last seen at 10 a.m. in the 7500 block of 192 Street on June 20. His family and police are concerned about his well-being. 

Volunteers from South Fraser Search and Rescue Society (SFSAR) are assisting police in the search for Bergman.

Bergman is described as a Caucasian male, five feet seven inches in height, with a slim build and grey hair. Police say he was last seen wearing a Vancouver Canucks sweatshirt with blue sleeves and a grey body, green or grey sweatpants and blue runners. 

"Lyle has only lived in Surrey for a few months and may not be familiar with the area. It is unknown where Lyle may have gone. Lyle may be disoriented, and police are concerned for his wellbeing," noted a Surrey Police release Saturday (June 21).

Police ask anyone who sees Lyle Bergman or who has more information is asked to contact 9-1-1 or Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2025-35094 (SU).
