The first anniversary of a Best Buy Express store in Surrey is reason for the retail chain to give away $50 gift cards to the first 50 customers there on Tuesday, June 24.
Guildford Town Centre is where Best Buy Canada first opened an "Express" location last June.
"This inaugural store started a fast and furious journey," a communications rep for the company wrote in an email.
"In less than five months, we opened 167 Best Buy Express stores across the country. We’re in 61 communities across the country that never had a Best Buy previously."
The Express store at Guildford Town Centre opens at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, according to the company website.
The gift-card giveaway will kick off a "Boxing Day in Summer" sale on electronics and other tech gadgets sold at the store.
