A crowd of more than 320 music lovers turned out for another rockin’ night at the Wells Gray Lively Arts (WGLA) Summer Stage, located at the Dutch Lake Community Centre Field, on Aug. 5 to be entertained by the popular Kamloops tribute band EH! Team.
EH! Team is a five-piece band celebrating the best in Canadian rock ’n’ roll. The audience rocked on as they danced through an evening of music that seemed to have all ages bopping the night away.
Cruisin’ Clearwater classic cars were on display, and many of those in attendance took the opportunity to walk around and enjoy them. There was also a chance to view the vendor exhibits, and sample some treats, like delicious ice cream and thirst-quenching lemonade and iced tea offered by Cleo Coates in support of the WGLA.
“Being able to offer cold drinks at Summer Stage was something that we weren’t able to do this year," said WGLA treasurer Shirley Frost. "But Cleo offered to provide cold drinks and we said yes please! We are so happy to have Cleo here with us. She is wonderful.”
There are only two more WGLA Summer Stage evenings scheduled this season. Canadian songwriters Saskia Delaronde and Nathan Tinkham will be the next ct, on Aug. 24.
