Winner of Clearwater's first Twinkle Town Showdown announced

Clearwater Chamber of Commerce announced the Doull family of Clearwater as winners of the first Twinkle Town Showdown

The first annual Twinkle Town Showdown — sponsored by the Clearwater and District Chamber of Commerce — was a huge success, according to Chamber president Kaare Long.

“The holiday season in our community was truly magical, thanks to the incredible participation in the Twinkle Town Showdown," she told the Clearwater Times. "We were thrilled to announce the winners of this year's festive light display competition, and extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined in the fun.

"A huge round of applause to the Doull family, whose dazzling light display captured the hearts of our community and earned them the top spot in the Twinkle Town Showdown. Their creativity and festive spirit shone brightly, making their home a beacon of holiday cheer.”

Long says that the “competition was fierce," with so many “stunning displays” that lit up Clearwater over the holidays.

“It was a close race, and every participant deserves recognition for their efforts. The seniors had a fantastic time touring the displays and casting their votes, adding to the joy and excitement of the event.”

As an additional gift to the community, the Doull family has donated to the Clearwater and District Food Bank. As winners of the contest for 2025 with their home lighting display, the family will receive a year-long Chamber membership and a prize hamper filled with items from local businesses, including gift certificates from the businesses that registered to participate during the Twinkle Town Showdown.

“Their act of kindness and community engagement exemplifies the true spirit of the season and the strength of our community," said Long. "We thank all of the businesses and individuals who registered for this lighthearted showdown that brought such joy to our community to make the holiday season even more special this year, and we are looking forward to even more participation next year.”
