This summer, the Wells Gray Lively Arts Society is celebrating a milestone - 10 wonderful years of live music on the outdoor stage at the Dutch Lake Community
Centre.
The first year, musicians and singers played under a tent on the DLCC field. With funding from the generous Wells Gray Community Forest Corporation, members of the society joined forces with Yellowhead Community Services Society and timber work by Dan Muddiman to create the stunning outdoor stage.
One of our first acts was the beautiful Margit Sky Project.
Today, Summer Stage has developed into quite a weekly event in July and August with artisan vendors and classic cars enhancing the fantastic bands that love to perform in Clearwater.
We have the best audiences, who love to really listen to the music and/or dance the evening away. And we know how to show our appreciation - loud and true.
To celebrate, this year we kick off Summer Stage 2025 with Aquarius - a wonderful group of local musicians and singers coming together to celebrate with songs from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s.
The WGLAS would like to thank Sita Rebizant for organizing this uplifting and joyful evening of songs that she knows you will want to sing (& dance)
along to!
The music begins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday July 3, 2025, with bands booked for every Thursday evening in July and August.
