Wells Gray Lively Arts final Summer Stage evening

Wells Gray Lively Arts Summer Stage closes with a finale band, The Payphones on Thursday, Aug. 29

The Wells Gray Lively Arts Summer Stage came to a close for the 2024 season on Thursday Aug. 29 with incredible musical guest band from Alberta, The Payphones. These “folk-inclined” musicians had the crowd mesmerized with their unique folk rock style, vocal harmonies, flamboyant guitar playing and fantastic drumming.

Vendors and Cruisin Clearwater cars were out in force as the music accompanied the audience strolling, dancing and enjoying the last of the summer series for this year at Dutch Lake Community Centre field.

Shirley Frost, Wells Gray Lively Arts treasurer-secretary gave a "great BIG thank you to everyone who came to Summer Stage this season, you all helped make our evenings magical.” As another successful summer stage comes to an end, Frost sounded a little emotional.

“This was an amazing season of music for everyone involved.”
