Wells Gray Community Forest Corp. and the DOC make generous donation to Blackpool Fire Rescue

On Monday, Oct. 23 at the District of Clearwater office, the Wells Gray Community Forest Corporation (WGCFC)and the District of Clearwater, presented a cheque in the amount of $22,870 to the Blackpool Fire Rescue. The donation is to go towards the purchase of a new road rescue air bag system and an E Tool Power Ram.

“We want to thank Wells Gray Community Forest Corporation and the District of Clearwater for their continued support in assisting us in replacing aging equipment with more modern and efficient rescue tools,” said Blackpool Fire Rescue Chief Mike Savage.

DOC councillor Shelley Sim presented the cheque to Chief Savage, Assistant Chief Dietrich Rempel and Firefighter Tom Campbell from Blackpool Fire Rescue.
