Valley Pride presented the Community and Unity final coffee house of the season on Saturday, April 6 at the Clearwater Elks Hall.

The festivities kicked off at 6:30 p.m. and carried on past 9 p.m. with a nicely packed house and toe tapping, clapping musical performances by many local musicians and singers.

Admission was $2 and a non-perishable food item for the Clearwater and District Food Bank.

Tom Coles entertained the crowd as master of ceremonies as well as partnering on some fine instrumentals and songs.

Executive director for Valley Pride, Kalen Jones, said everyone really enjoyed the last Coffee House event of the season.

“It was fabulous and everyone ate well. We went through lots of soup and sweets. Looking forward to next year, and coming up is the Wells Gray Lively Arts summer series on stage at the Dutch Lake Community Centre. We are excited to participate again in the May Day Parade as well. So proud of our inclusive, diverse and compassionately talented community.”
